PSP Trash the Dress Photography Session

I think I have forgotten to mention on here that I'm going to be helping out with some photography classes for Point Shoot Play. Take a look at the website and if you are interested in signing up for some classes, please do!

Point Shoot Play are so excited to be holding (with a few fabulous local photographers, see below) a Trash The Dress Mini Session on Wednesday 10th December. Twins + 1 | Brisbane Family Photographer

Today's family session was with twins, Cooper and Olivia and 2 year old, sassy Ellen (and their mum and dad of course!!!). Ellen was hilarious - she didn't want a bar of me until right at the end of the session, and she has the BEST deathstare I've ever seen on a 2 year old!!!! I love a bit of spunk in a kid, so I thought she was the bees knees. Cooper and Olivia were adorable and up for anything (as long as it included lollipops of course!). Twins always facinate me - I love to see them interact together.

I had a great time with these 3, running around in leaves, doing some jumping, and then a play at the park.

Part 1 of Hannah's B'day Sesson | Brisbane Family Photographer

Well, you'll be seeing a little more of this gorgeous, little thing as our session got cut very short today with a huge storm! Thank god we didn't get stuck in the middle of it (unlike my husband and 2 boys!), and were able to find some shelter in time, because that rain was torrential!

So, just 3 photos for today, but look for Hannah in a few weeks time!

Seriously, aren't these eyes a photographer's dream? I swear I nearly giggled like a school girl when I spotted those peepers!


I love this look Hannah is giving me - like she's not too sure of me, but also intrigued at the same time.

One Big, Gorgeous Family | Brisbane Family Photographer

I've known these guys for many years (we've shared way too many rums too in my younger, less responsible days!), so it was a honour to be asked to take photos for them. This session was a lot of fun, and I just love doing sessions at Shorncliffe Pier. It's such a perfect backdrop. Now, I'll just go straight into the photos, cos I know everyone is waiting to see their sneak peek!

First off the rank was little Molly. She is so adorable, and I know for a fact that my husband wants to swap her for one of our boys!

Charmaine, Anthony and Kids | Brisbane Family Photographer

I turned up to today's session rearing to go - I LOVE newborn sessions. Unfortunately, I had forgotten my beanbag to put this gorgeous newborn in....I swear I could be marketing myself as Brisbane's Ditziest Photographer at the moment! Remember that session a few months back where I left the camera battery at home on the recharger? Yeah, haven't done that one again! Bet I don't leave my beanbag home again now either!!!!

In any case, Charmaine and Anthony were very forgiving, and after a quick trip to the shops for a new one, I was back and rearing to go. Again.

I got some gorgeous photos of the kids and some of the whole family that I ADORE! So, I'll just get straight onto it. Anthony and Charmaine, thank you for a wonderful afternoon. I hope Kai is ok and doesn't get sick afterall. Talk to you soon.

I have been blessed this year with my newborns - perfectly sleepy and oh so adorable - this little guy was no exception!

Sneak Peek for Loz | Brisbane Maternity Photographer

Well after finding the perfect location for Loz's maternity photos (we've been on the hunt for months!), we got there, and as soon as we stepped out of the car, the heavens opened up! So, unfortunately we only got about 10mins worth of photos....how disappointing! Hopefully we might get a chance for some more though - otherwise we'll be taking Loz's newborn back here for his photos!!!!!

Elijah wasn't too keen on getting paint on his hand, so had to use the paintbrush, lol!

Sneak Peek for Jorge and Ana | Brisbane Family Photographer

I had the most amazing session yesterday with this gorgeous family. These guys have had a pretty rough year, but you wouldn't know it - the love and connection between them all is wonderful to see. I am still amazed that a house of 5 kids can be anything but chaos, but this was anything but! Sure, it was a little busy, but the kids were gorgeous, and polite, and pretty much everything that my kids aren't! My sister said that maybe I need more kids....but I'm not testing that theory!!!!

We managed a lot in this session - all the kids wanted me to photograph them doing different things, and then we got some gorgeous family photos, and then Jorge surprised Ana with a reenactment of the Pride and Prejudice scene - all those Mr Darcy fans will know it when they see the photos!

So, my apologies for the number of photos here - but I had to show them all!!

Two Little Boys | Brisbane Family Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing a very good friend of mine and her family today. Erin and I went to school together many moons ago! Her two boys are a little older than my two, and they actually seem to be quite similar. Although I think hers are a little better behaved - best get some tips for how to deal with my monkeys!

Hunter is a bit quieter - but once he was comfortable with me (or once I started tickling him), he gave me some gorgeous smiles!


After some lollipops, we had to keep them still somehow!
